Student Groups Present First “Live at the Library” Band Showcase

The Music Industry Club (MIC) and Music Studio Club (MSC) presented its first-ever Live at the Library event on December 4. The show is a student-run, student-produced show featuring 10 student bands in the newly-renovated library stage space at CHS.

Check out more shots and video of the event here.

The show was packed with fans, and featured the acts Izzy & Mateo, Pheasant, Dylan Daniel, Tyler & Izzy, Ayla Max & James, Sun Jackson, Road Dog, Splinter, Ladykiss, and Sockmouth.

Music Technology is a central pillar of the music education experience at Columbia, alongside more traditional Band, Choral and Orchestral ensembles and clubs. The Music Tech performance year culminates with BeatFest, a sudent-run festival which moved to Ritzer field last year and was a big success.

Congrats to MIC & MSC on what everyone hopes is just the first of many Live at the Library events.
